What is JEE Advanced?
Overview
JEE Advanced is the entrance for 23 IITs. Only top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers can appear. Two compulsory papers on the same day, testing deep conceptual understanding.

- Duration: 3 hours each
- Mode: CBT
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
- Types: Single correct, Multiple correct, Numerical, Matching, Paragraph-based
- Partial Marking: For multiple-correct questions

- Top 2,50,000 JEE Main (category-wise)
- Class 12 in 2025 or 2026
- Max 2 consecutive attempts
- Must not have accepted IIT seat previously

Preparation Tips
- Conceptual depth: Tests whether you truly understand, not just apply formulas.
- Multiple correct: Most scoring. Practice extensively.
- Both papers matter equally. Don't exhaust in Paper 1.
- Books: Irodov (Phy), JD Lee (Inorganic), ML Khanna (Math)
- Past 20 years' papers: Concept patterns repeat.
